penis. penispenispenispenis.

With Julian's penis being cut off, Passions is not passing this opportunity to make itself the trashiest I've ever seen it.
Dr. Eve Russel has reattached the penis. However she did so under the supervision of her pregnant hermaphrodite son who drugged her and made her operate drunk. He instructed her to remove a significant amount of the penis and sew it on upside down.
Meanwhile, everyone in town has heard the news. Everyone in Harmony is blabbing 'bout boners! And naturally they are using every euphemism in the book! My favorite line has been "Don't say 'winky dink' to God." Despite the colorful terms, they don't hold back on the 'penis', either. Man almighty, I never thought I'd hear the word 'penis' so much without Jeremy around.
To what lengths will this show go to as is creeps towards it's delayed demise? I can only hope that, similar to shows like Arrested Development and Roseanne and even Roseanne's talk show, that it spirals into insanity just before the end.

watchmen pics!

There are some more pictures out from the Watchmen movie, which will be released next March. I am now officially really excited about this movie. Even the shots of the sets look great!
Some of the costumes worry me that the movie might focus more on the super-hero-y stuff, rather then the deeper social and emotional focal points of the comics.
Still, I REALLY want to know what Dr. Manhattan is going to look like!

walkin the dog

I just got back from California, literally throwing away huge parts of my past that had been weighing me down, locked away in a storage unit. It feels good, but I did manage to get a few goodies out of it, like this picture:

I colored this with Photoshop when I was taking a class in it, maybe in 2004...I recently tried coloring a drawing with Photoshop again and this old one is way better. I'm clearly out of practice. I also found a watercolor of similar content...It's in the style of a fishing photo, but the fish the guy's holding up is a robot fish.
More to come about the trip. I'm still getting settled. It's always great to come back home.

smokeout

Well, I fell off the wagon. Yup, I went and started smoking again. I'm not beating myself up over it, but my quit-date is April 1st. I'm already ready, but I have a lot of traveling and school and work and things coming up, so I don't just want to be ready, I want to be prepared. Does that make sense?

SNL returns, attn: election

While watching Saturday Night Live last night I realized that it was significant for many reasons. First of all, it was the first episode since the writer's strike ended. It was appropriately hosted by Tina Fey, the former SNL writer who made a name for herself by hosting Weekend Update before moving on to bigger writing/acting gigs.

The absence of television during the last few months may have done more to the country than make us bored. With nothing to focus on other than reality TV, I think people became more aware of current events, fueling the excitement that the '08 election seems to have brought. Not only do we have both a woman and a black man in the running, enough to grab any politically-apathetic person's attention, we didn't have TV around to distract us (as much). People have listened to speeches and opinions and debates and have made some choices. Sure, some have made the decision based on aesthetics, but it's America, people can do that. But there was something missing that I didn't think about and wonder if anyone else did.

Where is that institution that has helped sway the public opinion of presidents and presidential hopefuls by parodying them for the last twenty years? From Dana Carvey's Bush Sr. to Phil Hartman and Darrell Hammond's Bill Clinton to Will Farrel's first-rowdy-Texan-then-bumbling-idiot Bush Jr.(or whoever's doing it these days). We've also seen Ross Perot, Al Gore, and Bob Dole.

Last night, we got it back, and for once the public knew more about the candidates before they saw an SNL skit about it. So here we go..what I like about this sketch is that they don't make fun of either candidate that much but focus more on people's attitudes towards them.

I don't think that every Obama supporter is giving in to his charisma. If you like what the guy's about that's great but you have to admit that a lot of people are like this guy...right when he says the word "inspire" is when I feel he loses all credibility:

I've already written waaaayy more than usual, so go on over to Jeremy's post to see what he has to say and watch the kick-ass news segment that Tina Fey delivers. I wish she would make a regular appearance on the show. It would be a strong, sensible view point in support of Hillary Clinton which she needs. And it would also make me laugh.

philthy's angels

The girls who made me that card...wait, let me start at the top. I was at Walgreen's and they had t=shirts for sale, 5/$10. The last one I picked was bright orange and a size small. I knew it wouldn't fit but I nonetheless decided to buy it. When I got to work one of the girls who made me that card was wearing a bright orange sweat shirt. For shits and giggles I put my new orange shirt. Then the other girl said she had just bought an orange shirt and went home on her lunch break to get it. This is what resulted:

silly rabbits

There are a couple of teenage girls at my work who get rather silly when they get together.

They were hanging out and decided that I was really cool. How about that! They wanted to express this to me through a card. I bring it to you in it's entirety.

A while ago all the other girls (Chelsea, Rene, Kati)left the store for college or whatever. I'm really glad we have some again, even if they are so young. They provide me with entertainment.

Senor Coconut

Jeremy just made a post about who's performing at Coachella. When I saw Kraftwerk it made me think about someone I haven't heard from in a long time...

i gotcher stimulative growth package right here!

I never paid much attention to teh economy. I only did enough to get by in economics class in high school which, believe me, wasn't much. This was a class that used Wall Street and The Secret of My Success as educational films. Still, with all this talk about a tax rebate, of course im going to pay attention. So they think giving $500-800 to people and $1600 to families will help boost the economy. Critics say it will put us further into debt, that people won't invest in the right places or just save it out of fear of a recession, and that lower-income families won't get as much, or anything, while they are the ones who really need it.
Regardless of the viewpoints, I dont think this is anything I haver a say in, so If they do fork over $800, what am I gonna do with it?

-I really want Photoshop in my laptop. I can get a student discount and, unless I'm misunderstanding, it shouldn't cost nearly as much as it does retail.

-I would like a quality digital camera. The one I have has run it's course, not that it was ever any good in the first place. I would like something to take decent dirty pic...er, decent reference photos for art work.

-I'd probably save a big chunk of it. Hey, this school shit ain't free.

-...Oh, I mean Im going to spend all of it on an LCD HD TV for Jeremy.
